Hunter Nation Alabama Leadership
Kelby Seanor - Alabama State Director
I was born in Georgia and raised in rural Kentucky, where my passion for the outdoors began at an early age through hunting deer, dove, pheasant, and quail. My father introduced me to hunting and competitive shooting, and together with my mother, instilled in me the importance of faith, family, and respect for nature.
I bring an extensive background in the shooting sports community as a professional clay target shooter and instructor. My competitive experience includes being a multi-time member of Team USA, a 10x NSCA All-American, six Top 100 finishes at World Sporting (FITASC) Championships, and numerous clay target championships. I am also grateful to be supported by leading industry partners, including Krieghoff International, DuPont/Krieghoff, Clay Shooters Supply, and RC Cartridges. Competition shooting has introduced me to some of the greatest people from around the world who share a common passion for hunting and the outdoors.
In my previous role with the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA), I directed state-level political operations across multiple Southeastern states, overseeing legislative and campaign strategies to advance pro-Second Amendment policies. This experience has prepared me well to advance Hunter Nation’s mission and help build strong state chapters throughout the Southeast.
Today, I reside in Florida with my family. It is my goal to pass on to them the same hunting traditions, freedoms, and values that my father passed on to me.
Hunting is not just a personal passion—it is central to my family and a foundational part of America’s history. In the Southeast, hunting is a way of life that sustains our families while creating lifelong friendships and memories. That is why I am honored to represent Hunter Nation: to help create a united voice for the American hunter across the Southeastern United States and ensure these traditions endure for future generations.

2026 Georgia Legislative Session Recap: Key Outcomes for Hunters
Georgia hunters saw major legislative victories in 2026 with new laws expanding feral hog control, strengthening hunter education, increasing conservation funding, and protecting firearm rights. These measures improve access, support wildlife management, and reinforce outdoor traditions across the state. While some proposals failed to advance, the session delivered meaningful progress for sportsmen and conservation efforts. The outcomes highlight the growing importance of staying engaged in policy decisions that shape Georgia’s hunting future.
2026 Alabama Legislative Session Ends: Real Wins for Hunters and Big Turkey News for 2027
Alabama hunters saw meaningful progress during the 2026 legislative session, with new laws expanding access for disabled outdoorsmen and supporting habitat restoration across the state. While some pro-hunting measures stalled, major conservation efforts moved forward. Turkey hunters also received encouraging news as updated 2027 season dates and regulations aim to improve opportunities statewide. Together, these developments highlight continued momentum for protecting hunting traditions, strengthening conservation, and keeping Alabama’s outdoor heritage strong.
Hunter Nation Celebrates Passage of Senator Allain’s SB244 Creating Louisiana’s First Recreational Alligator Hunting Season
Hunter Nation celebrates the unanimous passage of Louisiana Senate Bill 244, legislation championed by State Senator Robert Allain to create Louisiana’s first recreational alligator hunting season.
With Louisiana’s alligator population now exceeding 3 million, SB244 represents an important step toward responsible wildlife management while expanding hunting opportunities for Louisiana residents. The bill passed both the Louisiana Senate and House with unanimous support and has been sent to the Governor for signature.
Hunter Nation Louisiana gratefully acknowledges Senator Allain’s leadership and collaboration in advancing this important legislation.
Hunter Nation Applauds Advancement of McCormick Bill, Championing a Strategic Pause on Restrictive CWD Regulations in Louisiana
A major step forward in Louisiana aims to pause restrictive CWD regulations and restore balance to wildlife management. HCR 4 introduces an 18-month window to reassess policies that have placed heavy burdens on hunters through rigid thresholds and declining participation. By prioritizing collaboration with hunters and landowners, the effort seeks more practical, field-driven solutions. This shift emphasizes that effective conservation depends on those closest to the land having a voice in the process.
Stand with Ted Nugent & Hunter Nation: Lift the Louisiana Baiting Ban
Hunter Nation and Ted Nugent are calling on Louisiana hunters to support HCR 4 and lift the deer baiting ban. It’s time to address CWD with science, facts, and common sense — not destructive regulations that hurt hunters, farmers, and rural communities.
Buying a Hunting License in Pennsylvania Could Soon Also Mean Registering to Vote
A proposed change in Pennsylvania could turn buying a hunting license into a direct path to voter registration, giving sportsmen an easier way to engage in elections. By using existing systems, the process removes barriers and connects hunters to their political voice at a familiar touchpoint. With a large portion of the hunting community unregistered, this approach strengthens representation and ensures those who support conservation also have a say in shaping its future.
How the License Counter Can Mobilize Pennsylvania’s Missing Hunters
Hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvania hunters remain unregistered to vote, leaving a major gap in political influence for the outdoor community. Barriers like timing, rural access, and busy lifestyles have kept many off the rolls. By integrating voter registration into the license purchase process, the state can remove obstacles and activate a powerful voting bloc. Turning this routine interaction into civic engagement ensures hunters have a stronger voice in shaping conservation and policy decisions.
Louisiana Hunters Score a Win as McCormick CWD Resolution Advances
Louisiana hunters are gaining momentum as HCR 4 advances, offering a pause on strict CWD regulations driven by rigid thresholds. The bill creates space to reassess policies that have impacted participation and hunting practices, shifting focus back to real-world conditions. By slowing the system and encouraging input from hunters and landowners, it opens the door for more balanced, effective wildlife management rooted in experience rather than automatic triggers.
What Happened at the Louisiana CWD Hearing and Why Hunters Should Care
Recent CWD developments in Louisiana are bringing expanded restrictions, increased testing, and tighter hunting regulations as new cases emerge. Hunters are raising concerns about rapid decisions and limited input in shaping these policies. While disease management remains important, many believe current approaches overlook real-world conditions in the field. The push for measures like HCR 4 reflects a growing demand for balanced solutions that include hunter voices and better align conservation efforts with on-the-ground realities.
Deconstructing the Wisconsin DNR’s 2023 Wolf Management Plan
Wisconsin’s 2023 wolf management plan replaces clear population limits with a vague framework that shifts control away from science and toward bureaucracy and social pressures. Without firm accountability, predator numbers risk expanding beyond sustainable levels, impacting deer herds and rural communities. Critics argue this approach sidelines those closest to the land while elevating political influence. Protecting wildlife management now requires stronger advocacy to restore balance, transparency, and state-driven conservation rooted in real-world outcomes.
