The Politics of Deerhunting
Oooooh! Politics! Scary stuff! Don’t wanna get too political now do we!
I am told time and time again by editors, managers, agents, and interviewers; Be sure we keep away from politics!
With the unprecedented level of societal insanity rampaging across the country this dangerous summer 2020, I am afraid that the feeble and cowardly decision to avoid getting political has finally come roaring back to bite and brutalize America square in the hindquarters.
Afterall, what exactly is politics in this sacred experiment in self-government if not responsibly engaging in the process of demanding we the people Constitutional accountability and representation by our elected employees?
How dare I demand such outrage!
We are now paying the price for the embarrassing self-inflicted curse of apathy standing idly by witnessing the horrific fundamental transformation of the greatest quality of life in the history of mankind.
As hunting families, we embody the emphatic declaration of individual independence of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and without our participation in politics, we are doomed to be taken over by a hateful subculture that are going for our throats.
If anything about the American Dream screams politics, it is our hunting rights, gun-rights, private property rights, and the freedom to participate in God’s miraculous creation of renewable conservation.
Don’t think for a minute that the terrorists tearing down statues and monuments and burning down our cities will tolerate anything we believe in.
In fact, as I have railed incessantly for more than 50 years, our hunting rights and gunrights freedoms have always been the tip of the culture war spear.
People always ask me bewilderingly; what can I do to stop this insanity?
For starters be sure you and everyone you know who shares our traditional American family values is a member of the National Rifle Association. membership.nrahq.org
Next, and this is critical, we must all communicate on a regular basis with our elected employees at every level making certain they know exactly where we stand on the issues, voicing our continual support for good moves and policies and adamantly condemning Constitutional Oath violations and policies that spit in the face of truth, logic and commonsense.
Third and most importantly, VOTE! Vote your values and principles every time.
When a hunter can have his life destroyed overshooting an extra deer when the game departments, insurance industry, highway departments, and agriculture concerns are begging for more deer to be shot, but looters and arsonists and anarchists can get away with violent assault, murder and mayhem actually caught on tape, you know our culture and lifestyle is hanging by a thread.
It is time. The time is now. Be a positive force to reckon with in the battle for real America. Conservation families are the ultimate conservative families, and we can crush our enemies by simply accomplishing those three proven tactics.
To be that positive force, get everyone you know to go to Huntthevote.org to make the pledge to be a registered American voter warrior for God, family, country, freedom, and our cherished outdoor lifestyle.
