Hunter Nation NEWS

Hunter Nation, led by Keith Mark, has joined forces with the NRA and other pro-gun organizations to awaken a “sleeping giant” voter demographic—millions of hunters and gun owners who are not yet registered to vote. With the 2024 election approaching, these organizations believe that hunters and gun owners, especially in key battleground states like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, could play a decisive role in determining the outcome of the election.

The collaboration between Hunter Nation and the NRA is built on a shared mission: to protect Second Amendment rights and the lifestyle tied to hunting and firearm ownership. By leveraging the influence of hunting celebrities such as Ted Nugent and Donald Trump Jr., and utilizing targeted social media campaigns, the coalition aims to engage a demographic often skeptical of politics. Mark, a self-described lifelong Democrat, explains that many hunters and gun owners feel disconnected from the political process, seeing it as intrusive and irrelevant to their way of life. Hunter Nation's message is clear: if hunters and gun owners don’t vote, they risk losing their freedoms and way of life.

Hunter Nation, along with The NRA, is providing critical resources and data to identify unregistered or low-propensity hunters and gun owners. Together, they emphasize that hunting and firearm ownership transcends political lines—it’s about preserving a way of life. As Mark said, it’s about “selling freedom” and the ability to live independently without government interference. Their strategy is to connect with hunters and gun owners on their own terms, using influencers from the hunting and gun communities to send the message that sitting out of the political process puts their rights at risk.

“So it’s like, basically, guys, you need to get off your tree stands and out of the duck marshes, and out of the deer woods and pheasant fields and go vote,” Mark said, adding that the group never pushes the demographic to vote for a specific candidate.

Hunter Nation expects significant voter turnout in states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania—where even a small number of motivated hunters and gun owners could make the difference in a tight race. With data showing that hundreds of thousands of gun owners in these states are either unregistered or low-propensity voters, the impact could be massive. For instance, Hunter Nation projects turning out over 58,000 hunters and twice that many gun owners in Pennsylvania alone, a state Biden won by about 80,000 votes in 2020.

Both Hunter Nation and the NRA are pushing a simple yet powerful message: to preserve the Second Amendment and their hunting lifestyle, hunters and gun owners need to make their voices heard at the ballot box. By working together, these organizations hope to reignite a movement of engaged hunters and gun owners who could tip the balance in the upcoming election.
