Stop President Biden’s Extreme Gun Control Measures

nobiden

Just a few months into office and President Biden is already pushing major gun control measures to limit Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens and hunters. The first bill, H.R. 8, would make it a crime to loan a firearm to a fellow hunter and the second bill, H.R. 1446, would eliminate the three day period to sale provision and allow an infinite delay on approval to purchase a firearm.

H.R. 8 - Criminalizing Private Firearm Transfers

Currently, private individuals who are not selling firearms with the main objective to make a profit can make occasional transfers, sales, loans, or gifts of firearms without a Federal Firearms License to anyone they believe is legally allowed to buy a firearm. But if this bill becomes law, it would be illegal for hunters to loan, sell, or trade firearms amongst the people they know and trust. Simply put, this bill would make it a federal crime for even some family members to share firearms on a hunt.

H.R. 1446 - Indefinite Delays on Firearms Transfers

Further eroding Second Amendment rights guaranteed to us by the Constitution, H.R. 1146 would eliminate the three day period to sale provision under the federal background check system. This means the government could indefinitely delay firearm transfers and could even allow the FBI to block sales on a case-by-case basis as they see fit.

Even more concerning, these bills set the stage for a universal gun owner registry.

Passed in the House of Representatives, these bills will now be considered by the U.S. Senate tomorrow, March 23, 2021 in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Now is the time to stand up and fight back against these extreme gun control measures that destroy our constitutionally protected rights.

Contact your Senator today and tell them to say no to Biden’s extreme gun control bills!
